To test a ST type of patch chord simply connect one end of the fiber to the ST adapter of the instrument and push a rear on/off button. The red LED efficiently transmits light down fiber, providing easy identification at fiber’s far

end. This not only helps verification in the continuity of a fiber but also helps in identification of fiber in an interconnect location.
