Description

This machine is used to determine the hardness of asphalt material the design features direct vertical loading with loading weight that rests on thrust bearings, therefore, the load is applied to the specimen without transmitting the shock to the loading column.
At the end of the loading period, the depth of penetration of the pin can be read from the dial gauge to an accuracy of 0.01 mm. The thermostatically controlled heater unit has a built-in impeller which circulates the water to maintain an even temperature throughout.
